Welcome!

Welcome to the official Volte Endurance Training blog.  We're excited to serve athletes in our community and we hope that you'll join us soon for a mid-week track workout or a Saturday morning group long run.

We invite you to follow us here, at our website, Facebook page or via our Twitter account.  Links to the latter three can be found to the right here on the blog.

Our Name
Our name is derived from the running equation, "VO2 (max) plus LT (lactate threshold) plus E (economy).  Volte Endurance Training is founded and led by Bill Dwyer.

Our Mission
Volte Endurance Training strives to display Christian values, maintain high standards of excellence, promote integrity, respect the fundamental rights, dignity and worth of all participants, apply and make public our knowledge of sport in order to contribute to the community and encourage all individuals, training groups and clubs.

Our Coaching Philosophy
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all coaching philosophy. We believe that a smart training program is one created with the individual’s current fitness level, age, gender, experience and goals kept in mind.

Our “group” programs also embrace this philosophy. We also understand and take into account that family and work are higher priorities and develop plans to blend with current lifestyles.

Benefits of training with a coach include...
Personalized and balanced workout plans using sound training principles
Learn the physiology and psychology behind training
Learn proper nutrition
Learn proper equipment and apparel
Event day plans that include goal setting, pacing, event nutrition and proper recovery
Accountability

In the meantime, we'll celebrate our successes, communicate the times and locations of our workouts, share our philosophies and give you opportunities to learn more about some of the coaches and athletes who make up Volte.
